The inaugural Police UK Disability Sport CIC multi-sport event is coming to Nottingham this summer.
The first of its kind in the UK police community, the event is designed around the impact of sports recovery, in particular the effect it has on physical and mental health recovery and wellbeing. It’s open to all in policing and offers the chance to try out variety of sports, completely free of charge.
Over two days this August, you can have a go at:
Badminton
Sitting volleyball
Table tennis
Wheelchair basketball
Wheelchair rugby
You can also try adapted throwing events such as discus and shot as well as using cycle machines, hand bikes, indoor rowing machines and racing wheelchairs.
The event is being co-sponsored by Metfriendly and Lightweight Mobility and Seating. Exhibitors from the police charity sector and those supporting adaptive sports in the police will also be available for a chat.

Police UK Disability Sport is a not-for-profit community interest company that works to provide adaptive sports to everyone in the police community.
They deliver a platform for serving and retired police officers and staff who have either been injured, or are living with a disability, illness, mental health or neurodiversity to engage in adaptive/disability sport.
