Throughout the year, BTP Federation lottery grants totalling thousands of pounds are awarded to members for charitable, sporting, or cultural purposes.
PC Jenny Atherton, a response officer based in Manchester, is a recent recipient of a lottery grant. She applied for funding to enable her to represent BTP in the recent Police Sport UK Blue Lights Horse show.
The event took place at Solihull Riding Club in the West Midlands on Sunday 25 September. Jenny entered the Welsh in-hand class and gained second place with her horse Anwyls Tywysog Llewi - known as Llewi at home.
Jenny said: "I would like to say a massive thank you for the opportunity to attend the show. I have since been asked by the committee to be an ambassador for the show to help promote it to other owners/riders on the BTP divisions."
The Blue Lights Horse Show supports the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund. You can find out more about the show by visiting its Facebook page or chat to Jenny.
