Fed rep John Paul O'Kane has visited Kilbryde Hospice in East Kilbride, Glasgow, to present staff with a cheque for more than £2,200.
During April and May, John Paul undertook four challenges in four weeks to raise money for Kilbryde Hospice and Brain Tumour Research after losing several close family members to Glioblastoma tumours.
The first of John Paul's challenges was the Glasgow Kiltwalk on 28 April, which saw him walk 14.2 miles from Clydebank to beautiful Balloch in Loch Lomond. He was joined for this event by his youngest daughter, Rowan, who also accompanied him to present the cheque to the hospice.
The following Saturday, John Paul took on Ben Nevis, climbing some 4413 feet. A week later, he turned his attention to Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa, for another 3560 feet of climbing. John Paul took to the water for his final challenge, swimming 4600 metres in Derwent Water in the Lake District.
Your generous support and a donation from the Federation Lottery meant John Paul raised more than £3700 online, with other donations given to him in person. He and Rowan visited Kilbryde Hospice to give staff a cheque for £2,272.97, with the remainder donated to Brain Tumour Research.
